Taste of Shanghai: Upgraded Classic Flavours in Burwood Sydney


Newly opened in Westfield Burwood where Tim Ho Wan used to be, this Taste Of Shanghai has an upgraded menu. Grateful feeling being transported back home dining here - Classic & Innovative Chinese Cuisine. Live Barramundi in Sweet & Sour Sauce MUST ORDER - it's one of our ultimate favourite dishes. It's too easy to eat picking crispy tender slivers of fish coated in Sweet & Sour sauce but here they also add Sweet Shrimp just like back home Shanghai. For the adventurous the fish is super deep fried and the tail, fins bits and pieces are delicious...order bowls of rice because that sauce is ridiculously addictively good! Braised Chicken Feet in Five-Spices Stock is another excellent one, flavourful and tender, if you can eat chicken feet, this is THE dish to order. LOVED the Mango Pancake too, undoubtedly the star dessert, so fresh & light.

    This was such a fun read!
