Best Pork Chop Rice in Sydney at Hong Kong Bing Sutt - Worth The Wait!

Hong Kong Bing Sutt in Burwood, hidden location with an all-time waiting line in front of it - this is when you know they must have some real deals here.

Food Hunting Video:

We came in quite late after dinner hour on a rainy day hoping to avoid the line but still ended up in waiting for 20 minutes.

It is a traditional Hong Kong style canteen, so if you sit at a four ppl seat, expect to share the table with strangers. Don't worry, the staff will check if you are willing to share table or not. If your answer is NO, you will have to wait a bit longer till a small table is available. To be honest, sharing table is a very HK style, so why not, part of the experience right?

Dishes we like:

Finally got our seat. We still waited 20-30 mins for the signature baked pork chop fired rice. Looks like the kitchen waited for several orders ready then bake them together.

Lucky we ordered drink first. Drinks always come out fast.

Iced Milk Tea (Served with bottle)
$5.30

Pre-made, so you cannot ask for sugar level. It is not too sweet, pleasant and authentic milk tea flavour, quite nice.

Baked Pork Chop with Fried Rice
$12.80

After 20-30mins, a lot of Baked Pork Chop with Fried Rice came out, almost all tables were served. We were a little bit upset for the wait, however, when we finally got to taste it, we were blown away - oh yah, worth the wait!

The whole dish was cooked perfectly! All ingredients were treated to the right level. From the taste and texture, we assume the kitchen pan fry the pork chop half-done, fry the egg fried rice also half way, then put them all together with cheese and tomato sauce, perfectly baked. The cheese and egg is soft, rice is very nice, pork is so tender. To be honest, this pork chop rice is so good that we think it's definitely one of the best we've ever had (including the ones we had in Hong Kong).

There is also a Baked French Bread version, filling with pork chop and fried rice. Flavour is exactly the same, only difference is that the dish is filled in a French bread and baked together, price however is double ($24.80)! For us, we are not really here for bread, so the classic signature version is good enough.

Tofu Fa (Soya Bean Custard) $10.00
This one took even longer, cause it's all freshly made to order. We waited for about 40mins to get this dessert. Perfect timing though coz we just finished our pork chop rice when the tofu fa arrived.

The texture is soft and silky, the colour is amazing.

Mix it with brown sugar and sugar syrup, enjoy it!

Ausome Tips:

- Order drinks first while you wait for the main dishes
- The pork chop rice also has a version that served as filling in a French bread which is double the price of the regular one we ordered. We prefer the regular one.
- We would love to come back here again!!! I would still come in later at night to avoid huge line.
- After 8-9pm, even if you agree to share table you might still be able to enjoy a 4pax seat to yourself (2pax) because there are plenty of seats for every body and no need to share.
